What is BLAST?
BLAST – Bilateral Analysis and Stimulation Therapy.
The BLAST technique, developed by Nick Davies, shares many aspects with EMDR, which is widely used in Estonia.
Throughout life, we encounter various experiences, some of which happen to us directly, while others are things we witness happening to others. If the impact of such an experience is significant, you may often find yourself thinking about it, experiencing flashbacks or vivid images, and feeling intense emotions or even physical sensations. In these cases, BLAST can help!

Neuroscience
The BLAST technique integrates the latest, most relevant insights from neuroscience and the work of leading experts in the field. It draws on research from notable figures like Joseph Ledoux, Bessel van der Kolk, and Gabor Maté. Research confirms that when a person has experienced trauma or PTSD, their brain's right hemisphere is over-activated, triggering our fear center!
Speed, lenience and efficiency
BLAST therapy works quickly and therefore it is not necessary to go to therapy for years. In the session, we deal with one thing at a time, so if there are more emotionally charged situations in your experience, you have to BLAST them separately.
Context free
BLAST therapy can be context free - you don't have to share with me what happened! If the event you experienced is embarrassing, BLAST therapy can be conducted without the context. I don't need to know what happened, but what happened inside you in relation to the event.
BLAST is based on the principle
“BLAST your past and enjoy your future!”
BLAST helps to process the experience in the way your brain should have done initially. The memory itself remains, but its influence on your life fades.
Bilateral Stimulation
BLAST uses sensory stimulation such as sounds, tapping, and eye movements to activate both hemispheres of the brain. This bilateral stimulation allows a person to access difficult memories, enabling them to be properly processed through the cooperation of both brain hemispheres.
Transactional Analysis
This is a psychoanalytic theory that suggests we shift between different ego states depending on whom we are interacting with. BLAST uses the appropriate and the best ego state for healing.
Super Suggestions
Studies on the brains of those with trauma and PTSD have shown that their brainwaves often remain in a trance-like state. BLAST uses specific suggestions to make memory processing faster and more effective!
FAQ
Answers to frequently asked questions
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state characterized by deep relaxation, increased focus and heightened susceptibility to suggestions. Through hypnosis, we change processes and brainwaves to help you analyze moments, experiences, and situations more slowly, deeply and in more detail.
We experiencea hypnotic-like state every day. For example, when daydreaming or when we drive from point A to point B without consciously remembering how we did it.
What if I stumble upon a moment that is traumatizing?
To create the necessary emotional distance, RTT has it´s own techniques. However, the most important thing to remember is that You have already survived everything in Your life, and working with those moments gives You the opportunity to analyze that moment, regain YOUR strength, and power.
Can I be hypnotized?
If you can dream, you can also experience hypnosis!
Which are the states/situations where hypnosis should not be used?
Hypnosis is not used in certain personality and mental disorders. To ensure the client's safety, an initial consultation is essential!
How many RTT sessions are needed?
Usually, 1-3 sessions are needed. For simpler issues, one session is sufficient, while for more complex or long-standing problems, 2-3 sessions are necessary. But it all depends on the issue and Your mind's ability to do the work.
Can Rapid Transformational Therapy be used for physical concerns as well?
Can Rapid Transformational Therapy be used for physical concerns as well? Absolutely! Our mind and body are intricately connected. Stress has a proven impact on our body and health, which can manifest as various physical ailments. The well-known psychiatrist and respected pioneer Henry Maudsley once said:
"Sadness, which can not find its way through tears, may make other organs weep."
This metaphor illustrates that unexpressed emotions and the consequences of stress can manifest physically by affecting other parts of the body or overall health. In other words, if emotional pain is not expressed or dealt with, it can have repercussions on physical health and well-being."
Will I remember everything afterwards?
It depends on the individual. Some people remember everything, while others do not. Even those who initially do not remember can often recall substantive information with a little assistance.
How does it feel like to be hypnotized?
Interestingly, it may not feel any different in your body. Often, as humans, we expect some sensation or “something”. Since it's actually a quite common state, it's quite familiar to you and your body.
Can RTT be done remotely?
Rapid Transformational Therapy can be very successfully conducted via video call. This means that being anywhere in the world is not an obstacle! And best of all: the success of the results does not depend on it!
How does Rapid Transformational Therapy work?
The most important thing is that RTT addresses not the symptom (such as depression, anxiety, addictions, etc., which are visible and experienced within the person), but rather the root cause contributing to that symptom, and all of this happens at the subconscious level. As the root cause is resolved, the symptoms also resolve. The subconscious is what actually runs the whole show. However, this doesn't mean that the show is always as we consciously desire. RTT helps align things in the subconscious so that they match conscious choices and desires. As Bruce Lipton says: 'Positive thoughts have a profound impact on behavior and genes, but ONLY when these thoughts are in harmony with subconscious programs.' In other words, RTT helps align the conscious and subconscious mind to change your life!
Am I in contact and in control of myself and the situation throughout the entire session?
Yes, You are in contact throughout the entire session, speaking with me. Coming out of hypnosis is very easy and simple. You understand what is happening and have control over Yourself. More or less.
